Hi,
I am Jorge Aguilar-Mendez, a digital marketer and creative strategist currently working in property management and marketing at Treystar and Kalamazoo Mini Storage. I’m building this portfolio to showcase the projects, skills, and real-world experience I’ve gained across social media, paid advertising, branding, and content creation. My goal is to transition fully into marketing, grow professionally, and create opportunities that align with my goals and creative future I’m working towards.
My Story
My interest in marketing started back in high school when I took a marketing class that introduced me to the creative side of business. As part of the class, we ran the school store during lunch, which meant coming up with marketing ideas, promotions, and ways to get more students to stop by. I didn’t realize it at the time, but that experience sparked the passion that eventually led me to pursue marketing as a career.​

What hooked me was the process of taking an idea and turning it into something real, building a plan, creating the visuals, shaping the message, and then seeing everything connect once the campaign goes live. I enjoy the storytelling side of marketing, figuring out how to communicate a feeling or idea in a way that resonates with people. When everything is set and done, watching the results come in from something I made gives me both a sense of accomplishment and a rush. There’s nothing like seeing a piece of work I created connect with people exactly the way I intended. That creative flow and emotional impact is what keeps pulling me deeper into marketing.

Outside of work, I’m someone who loves spending time with friends and family, enjoys playing soccer, and never misses a chance to root for my team, Real Madrid. I also love traveling and exploring new places whenever I get the chance. These moments are what helps me keep myself grounded, balanced, and motivated in everything I do.
